Funding is intended to support programs in the areas of education, community enrichment, environment, and nonprofit capacity support. Requests will be accepted from qualified organizations serving southwestern Pennsylvania (Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, Washington, Westmoreland Counties), northeastern Pennsylvania (Bradford, Centre, Clinton, Lycoming, Tioga), northern West Virginia (Doddridge, Harrison, Marion, Marshall, Tyler, Wetzel Counties) and eastern Ohio (Belmont County).

Awards of $2,500 and an award of $10,000 to USA, Canada, and International authors to recognize contributions to the field of Jewish literature. The award recipient will be honored for an outstanding work of nonfiction that explores modern Jewish thought and increases awareness of the meeting point of faith and modernity. Eligible themes include, but are not limited to, ethics, Jewish identity, antisemitism, and Jewish history.

Funding is intended to allow teachers to develop creative projects for their students. The goal of the grant program is to promote writing, literature appreciation, music, and Ohio history through creative, innovative, and effective methods and programs. Eligible applicants are located in Richland County.

Grants to USA courts, IHEs, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, individuals, and government agencies to address issues with the national court system. Applicants are required to submit a concept paper prior to submitting a full application. Funding is intended to address national court issues as they occur, and develop solutions to those problems.

Grants to Ohio and West Virginia nonprofit organizations for programs to benefit local communities in eligible locations. Applicants must contact program staff prior to applying. Requests will be considered from qualifying programs, projects, and organizations within Steubenville, Ohio and Weirton, West Virginia.

Grants of up to $1,000 to USA and territories court managers and full-time state court judges to take advantage of professional development opportunities. Funding enables grantees to attend courses to improve their skills, abilities, and knowledge which they may not otherwise attend due to limited local, state, and personal budgets.

Award to a USA, Canada, or International educator to recognize contributions to the field of elementary language arts education. The purpose of this program is to recognize an individual who has had a significant impact on the field of literacy, enhanced classroom practice, obtained national and/or international influence in literacy teaching and learning, and contributed a body of work that is compatible with the mission of NCTE.

Grants of up to $25,000 to USA, Canada, and International individuals with a Ph.D. for anthropology research projects. Grant funds must be used for research expenses. Funding is intended to advance the field of anthropology and make a significant impact on anthropological theory, knowledge, and debate.

Award of $2,000 to a USA K-6 teacher to recognize excellence in helping students improve in writing. Applicants should explain and demonstrate their philosophy about writing instruction and student progress. In addition, teachers must provide student writing samples with teacher comments.

Grants of up to $35,000 to USA nonprofit organizations to support healthcare for disadvantaged women. Funding is intended for activities related to reproductive rights. The purpose of the program is to educate women regarding their reproductive health options. Programs that incorporate advocacy or policy change, consistent with IRS 501(c)(3) status, are of particular interest.

Grants of up to $500 and grants of up to $2,500 to Ohio individual artists with disabilities for performing and creative arts projects. Funding is intended to assist professional and early-career artists in raising their public profile, developing skills, and producing professional materials.

Grants to Ohio individuals and programs in eligible regions to meet the needs of people with developmental disabilities. Eligible uses of funds include but are not limited to educational activities, medical needs, therapeutic camps, adaptive equipment, and child care. Priority will be given to health and safety issues and those individuals who have not received assistance in the last fiscal year. Grants of up to $20,000 to USA and Puerto Rico nonprofit organizations for programs that increase access to clean syringes. Funding is intended to enhance the health of individuals affected by drug use. These programs will offer education, free-of-cost safer use supplies, and community wrap-around services to reduce opiate overdose and the transmission of HIV and hepatitis C.

Grants to Ohio nonprofit organizations in eligible locations for programs that benefit local residents. Applicants must contact program staff prior to applying. Funding is intended for projects and activities within the focus areas of social services, health, education, environment, religion, arts, and animal welfare. Eligible applicants serve the residents of Columbus.

Grants to Ohio nonprofit organizations for programs that promote entrepreneurial innovation and education in eligible locations. Applicants must contact program staff before applying. Funding is intended for business-related activities and projects that benefit the residents of Northeast Ohio.

Award of $5,000 to a USA school library to recognize outstanding humanities programming. Eligible nominees are libraries in K-12 private and public schools. Program areas include, but are not limited to, social studies, poetry, drama, art, music, language arts, foreign language, and culture. Virtual programs are eligible.
